Greg’s mother set his mobile crib in the sand on the beach at the South End Pavilion in Spring Lake….and there began his life on the Jersey Shore.
Born and raised in Spring Lake Heights, Greg attended Wall Township schools and graduated from the University of Delaware. After graduation, Greg spent a few years in advertising sales in Manhattan, first with Fox Television, then with the Discovery Channel. But he would leave the NYC skyscraper life to pursue his true calling back on the beaches of the Jersey Shore.
In 2003, Greg relocated to New Jersey to pursue a different kind of sales: real estate. He was surprised to learn that despite selling/buying a home being one of the most important elements in a person’s life, many Realtors lacked experience in business, marketing, and advertising. Many also lacked an understanding of the associated fields, such as architecture, zoning, and construction.
Greg started by managing his brother’s architecture firm in Sea Girt (then Christopher Rice Architecture, now Rice & Brown Architects). There, Greg absorbed a wealth of knowledge about land use, zoning, architectural design, construction, and most importantly: the values of a good home. What do people want in a home? Why do they gravitate toward one home vs. another? How do people live, and how does that dictate the kind of home that is best for them?
Greg was now not only armed with this invaluable experience and fresh understanding of people’s residential needs, but he also cultivated relationships with the area’s builders, engineers, attorneys, township code officers and construction officials. In 2005, Greg became a licensed real estate agent, and when he combined this new knowledge and these new relationships with his business background from his days in Manhattan, it proved to be the perfect recipe for being a successful real estate agent.
Greg was the top selling agent at his previous agency for 9 years in a row (2008-2016) before joining Coldwell Banker, Spring Lake in 2017. Greg not only became the top-selling agent at Coldwell Banker in Spring Lake, but selling over $40 MILLION in real estate in 2017 alone made him the #1 AGENT AT THE SHORE overall! He personally sold more real estate than any other agent at every other brokerage in Spring Lake, Sea Girt, Manasquan, Brielle, Wall, Belmar, Avon, Bradley Beach, Ocean Grove, Asbury Park, Point Pleasant, and Brick!*
In 2009 and 2010, Greg earned the Bronze Level of the New Jersey Association of Realtors® Circle of Excellence Award®, earned the Gold Level in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015, and in 2014, 2016, and this past year of 2017 won the HIGHEST LEVEL achievable of the New Jersey Association of Realtors® Circle of Excellence Award®: PLATINUM Level!
